About
The Friends of Bluffton Dog Parks was formed to promote responsible dog ownership and protection of our environment in support of the health and well being of dogs and their owners through education, off-leash recreation and other dog friendly facilities.
Friends of Bluffton Dog Parks is working hard to bring a fun and safe dog park to the Bluffton community. We’re making progress but your help is still needed.
A non for profit 501(c)(3) foundation, the goal of Friends of Bluffton Dog Parks (FOBDP) is to act as advocates of responsible dog ownership through eduction and recreation.
We will accomplish this in two ways:
- Establishing a Recreational Dog Park of 1.53 acres on Buckwalter Parkway for dogs and their owners to enjoy “off-leash” play in a safe contained area.
- Supporting educational and training events at the dog park and in Bluffton, to enhance the relationship between dogs and owners.
The FOBDP hosts a yearly event called the “Bark in the Park”, Golf Tournament and Yard Sale. All of the events will continue to run after park opening to continue to support new phases of development and ongoing funding.
